Coqui Notes From The Principal...
The month of February is an opportunity to show love and caring to those around us and aligns with our character building. The first two weeks of February is all about compassion and care for animals. Treeline has partnered with the Gulf Coast Humane Society to sponsor a pet drive. Students can bring items to school to support and care for the animals at the shelter. The flyer is pictured below for a list of items. We will feature adoptable dogs and cats on the morning news throughout the pet drive. At the end of the drive, the Humane Society will
pick-up our generous items.
Every February students write Valentine’s letters to the Children’s Hospital. These letters go directly to the children facing medical difficulties to brighten their day.
Our month continues with a love for reading. The Book Fair kicks off on February 21st and ends on February 24th. The Book Fair will also be open on Student-led conferences, Let Your Work Shine Bright, on February 23rd from 4:45-7:15 PM. Teachers love receiving books to add to their classroom library and will have a wish list through e-wallet to be shared later this
month. Purchasing online is an option beginning February 15th-February 28th, the link is below to the Treeline's Book Fair website.

On February 14th, students can wear a Valentine’s shirt with uniform bottoms. Families who attend Student-led Conferences on Thursday, February 23rd will receive an out of uniform wristband for their child to be out of uniform on Friday, February 24th. The out of uniform guidelines are below.
The Believe Kids Fundraiser, Otis Spunkmeyer, was rescheduled to February due to the Hurricane and the needs of our community. The kick-off for the fundraiser is February 24th with items scheduled just prior to Easter. More information will be sent home when the Fundraiser gets closer.
The School Board will be voting on Feb. 7th about the new Proximity Plan scheduled to go into effect for the 23-24 School year, only for elementary students. To view the new proposed zones and for additional information visit the Lee County District website and click on the banner titled Proximity Plan for Elementary Schools.
The month of February will be a busy month but filled with compassion, love and fun. We look forward to seeing our families at the Carnival and on Thursday, February 23rd for Student-led Conferences.
