Leader in Me Parent Resources

 

The Leader in Me Parent’s Guide is designed to help your children learn the 7 Habits at home. As a parent, you can teach these lessons and activities in a fun way and enjoy spending time with your child. Each habit has a brief introduction followed by a fun activity that teaches principles. Your child will also be able to track his or her progress throughout the week and celebrate their achievements. The activities and tracking tools will help your child develop positive habits every day, every week, until they learn all the habits – to grow in their abilities and confidence – and become a leader.

 

Leadership roles go beyond school and the classroom. Families are strongly encouraged to have students act as leaders at home and within the community by taking on leadership roles. This Leadership Roles at Home document can get you started.

 

Students are learning the language and living the 7 habits throughout the year. Parents can support The Leader in Me at home by using the language also.  

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to share some wonderful news about the growth and transformation taking place at our school! This year, we officially transitioned into a Leadership Academy, a move designed to further empower our students and prepare them for success in all areas of life.
As part of this initiative, we have integrated The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into our daily culture. This framework serves as the foundation for our students' social, character, and leadership development. By practicing these habits—such as Being Proactive, Beginning with the End in Mind, and Seeking First to Understand—our students are learning to take responsibility for their actions, set meaningful goals, and collaborate effectively with others.
Our goal is to create an environment where every child discovers the leader within themselves. We are already seeing incredible growth in our students’ confidence and their ability to solve problems with a "Win-Win" mindset.
