Coqui Notes from the Principal
This year is flying by and now we have entered the last quarter of the school year. Quarter Three
report cards are available to parents via the Focus Portal.
Treeline was hopping last month with special events and it will continue to be an exciting quarter.
The Principal’s Party was a popping good time serving a special popcorn treat for students.
Dresses, bowties and adorable outfits took center stage with the Easter Bunny. The Quarter 3 AR
Party was a glowing hit for students who achieved their AR goal.
The annual Bounce House Party is planned for the end of May. Students earn their way with Coqui
Cash and receive extra time by meeting their AR goal for all quarters. Other opportunities to use
their Coqui Cash include Police Car Tours with Officer May and end of year drawings which include
prizes like bicycles. Please call the front office if your family or business would like to donate an
item(s) for the summer end of year drawings for students.
In addition to our drawing for students, our staff celebrates the conclusion of the school year with an end of year luncheon. We would love to honor our staff with gift cards and giveaways from local businesses. If you would like to donate, please contact the front office.
As we approach state testing season, we want to ensure that our students feel confident and prepared. Our dedicated teachers have been diligently preparing students for success by providing targeted instruction and practice opportunities. In addition to classroom preparation, here are some tips to help support your child during testing:
Encourage them to get plenty of rest the night before testing.
Provide a nutritious breakfast to fuel their minds.
Remind them to listen carefully to instructions and take their time.
Encourage a positive mindset and remind them that they are capable and prepared.
A huge thank you to our amazing PTO for organizing a spectacular school carnival last month! The carnival was a huge success, providing our students and families with an evening of fun, games, and laughter. We are incredibly grateful for the hard work and dedication of our PTO members who generously volunteer their time to create memorable experiences for our school community.
The District is replacing the equipment for two of our playgrounds. A picture of the new structure is featured below. The installation will begin next week and last approximately two weeks for both playgrounds.
The partial Solar Eclipse will take place on Monday, April 8th from 1:43-4:13. Students will be indoors during school hours and will NOT be going outside to watch the eclipse. All outdoor activities will conclude at 12:25 and move indoors for the remainder of the afternoon.
During dismissal, we will use a Rainy Day Dismissal for buses to ensure students are not in the direct sunlight. At parent pick-up, we will only use numbers 5-10 which is in the shade at dismissal. The parent pick-up staff will also have umbrellas to walk the students to their cars.
