Joe Vetter joined the Treeline Family this year as principal. A lifelong Fort Myers resident, Mr. Vetter has been an educator for over 25 years and a Lee County Principal for approximately 16 years. He has worked in the classroom and as an administrator at the elementary, middle and high school level. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida and also holds a Master of Science Degree in Administration and Supervision of Schools K-12 from Nova Southeastern University. His awards and recognitions include being named Administrator of the Year by the Lee County School Counselor’s Association, Lee County’s Middle School Principal of the Year for 2003 and was a nominee for the Commissioner’s Principal Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership. He also received the Principal’s Award for Promoting Accomplished Teaching from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. He and his wife Marie live in our neighborhood and he is pleased to be able to serve his community by being at Treeline Elementary. “Success is the only option,” is a motto he lives by.
